The Electric Project Engineer is responsible for ensuring electric projects are accurately engineered, fully scoped, and ready for execution. This role partners closely with Project Coordinators, Installation Managers, Parts Procurement, and the Electric Director to support efficient project delivery—often enabling same-day or next-day installations. Acting as a technical and operational resource, the Electric Project Engineer supports sales, service, installation, and management teams while maintaining cost control, quality standards, and compliance requirements. Candidate with electrical license(s) preferred

 

This is an office-based role. This role is Mon-Fri day shift.

What Will I do?

 

Project Engineering & Execution

  • Review all sold electric projects across all markets for accuracy, scope, and readiness.
  • Engineer sold projects to ensure clear scope of work, complete documentation, and installation readiness.
  • Develop accurate material takeoffs and ensure all required materials are ordered and available prior to installation.
  • Collaborate with Project Management to support job creation, scheduling, and expedited project execution.

Procurement & Cost Management

  • Procure materials using just-in-time (JIT) principles to support installation schedules.
  • Maintain high material order accuracy and minimize rework or shortages.
  • Manage material usage to ensure revenue, material cost, and labor percentages remain within budget.
  • Coordinate warranty part returns and process return purchase orders for unused materials.

Permitting, Compliance & Quality

  • Assist with ensuring all required permits are obtained for each project.
  • Track and support timely completion of inspections.
  • Uphold engineering standards, safety requirements, and company quality expectations.

Collaboration & Support

  • Serve as a technical resource for service, sales, installation, and management teams.
  • Be accessible and responsive to questions regarding engineered installations.
  • Monitor daily schedules and assist in keeping installation teams fully utilized.
  • Promote WCA Group’s brand and Max Service Group standards through professionalism and accountability.

Do I Have What It Takes?

  • Minimum 5 years of Electric Experience
  • Electric license(s) preferred
  • Highly organized with attention to detail and critial thinking 
  • Ability to work independently
  • Skilled with Excel, Outlook, Service Titan, and Website Operation 
  • Excellent telephone etiquette
