A/R Specialist $20-22/hour, full-time with great benefits!

 

We’re in search of an Accounts Receivable Specialist with 2-3 years of current A/R experience and knowledge handling 3rd party billings. The ideal candidate has an analytical approach to problem solving and can easily identify potential issues within data records and perform the necessary research to resolve them. Previous experience working with both large and small companies and the ability to understand the accounting dynamics of each is highly desirable.

 

Accounts Receivable Specialist

The accounts receivable clerk is responsible for being the primary contact between our company and the clients we serve. Success in this role will be defined by the ability to build trust with our internal and external clients to ensure prompt payment on completed work. Improving accounts receivable balances while upholding the company core values is a requirement.

 

This is a full-time, hourly position with occasional overtime, based in our Indianapolis office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Strong A/R abilities to perform accounting and clerical tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts receivable transactions
  • Responsible for the management and collection of outstanding balance on client accounts
  • Assist clients with inquiries into their outstanding balance expediting payment of any outstanding balances
  • On a monthly basis, touch all accounts that are billed to accounts receivable and find the appropriate path to obtaining payment or clearing any errors on the client’s account
  • Responsible for answering inbound A/R related phone calls
  • Call customers for status on outstanding account balances
  • Identify billing issues; follow up on payment rejections/denials
  • Accounts Receivable Collections
  • This position also requires cross training for roles outside the key responsibilities

Basic Qualifications/Requirements

  • 2-3 years of current, relevant experience calling clients on money owed
  • Excellent MS Word, Excel, and Outlook skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Strong ethics and ability to keep information confidential
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Solid analytical & problem-solving skills
  • Experience with ServiceTitan or Intacct a plus, but not required
  • Associates degree in Accounting preferred, but not required
